Beyond information, beyond the monographs that exist on herbs and the detached clinical writing of their uses, there is a great intelligence that lies within them. Many traditional cultures, like the one my family is from, have understood this, and in turn were in relation. For medicine men like my grandfathers, they developed an intrinsic language. In this course we will explore how to learn plants from themselves and the cultures that were in relation with them. Through practices in plant meditation, plant dieting, nature journaling, and stretching the imagination through fiction and poetry, we will explore plants in each of the 12 seasons.
This course is for you if you are interested in approaching herbal medicine from an inside out approach -whether you are a botanist, seasoned herbalist/gardener, or interested in learning herbalism.
